The End

It’s like living in a movie where they’ve thrown away the script;

you carry on and play your part, not sure when you’ll be tripped.

There’s something hovering out of sight, a threat that is unknown;

the only thing you’re sure of is the scale of threat has grown.

Will it be some sort of virus, not of the computer kind,

that will obliterate humanity, with cures too far behind.

Or maybe there’s a meteor that’s course is on collision,

where no amount of data can create some path revision.

The moon might become splintered, the sun might burn right out;

that something wrong is now afoot there can really be no doubt.

Most likely it will be from buttons that end up taking us to war,

one spiralling and nuclear with chemicals and more.

The time frame, well, it’s not quite fixed but a void will just descend

when someone gets it in their heads that this is now ‘The End!’
