how love feels

I thought you were love

You came in and healed my pain

Salved my wounds ,and held my hand

And like an angel gave me all the love I could stand

But once again I was wrong and your love quickly evaporated

Like tear drops on hot desert sand

Foolish to think I found love I gave my all

Like an ignorant dog

I came when you called

Looking back now on that now I hate myself

Totally disgusted and horrifically appalled

Give yourself credit

You made me feel more than any other human

You crafty sneaky tricky woman

But older and wiser and no longer thinking love exists

It's a disease affliction and infection

Like a severed limb or a pus filled cyst

My home, my heart , my care I swear

In this life again  I will never share

the thing called "Love" is my despair
