Genuine

Today I asked,
If we could meet,
Your answer was,
Don't know,
We'll see,
But then you asked me for a lift,
I said I'd take you where you wish,
To work is where you want to go,
And on the way,
We'll smile and joke,
It's something I would love to do,
Because it means I'll be with you,
You're someone that I really like,
With you, I want to share my life,
For now, I'll focus on this task,
To take you where you kindly asked,
And prove to you, I'm not a fake,
Like everyone, before I came,
I'm genuine and that's the truth,
I swear I'd never lie to you,
Tonight I'll show you how I am,
With hope that you will take my hand,
And say to me, I'm what you need,
And you would love to be with me...
