She knows that I’m troubled,

For it's written in my eyes,

She knows I’ll never share it,

For it's hidden in my lies,

She sees I’m weary from my journey,

of emotion’s million miles,

It pains her to witness suffering,

Behind fictitious smiles,

Plans of sunny pleasures,

Ruined by my sorrows rain,

Though it’s my cross to bear,

We both suffer from my pain,

As a wife she feels discouraged,

Despite the words I tell her,

She cannot heal my pain,

Her mind says she’s a failure,

I understand I truly do,

Of course she harbors anger,

To see the man she knows and loves,

Become a dejected stranger,

No there’s nothing she can do,

But something she can say,

Wrap her arms around me tight,

And say baby it’s ok,
