The Afterlands. that was all they knew to call it. they had no recollection of what came before; knowing only there was once something better. They had no anticipation of what it would become; having given up on the vision for a better world long ago. Greens and wild life have grown scarce in the absence of sunlight. Civilization has fallen, and humanity has been tearing itself apart for nearly five centuries. Now only a fraction of mankind remains, with only a fraction of that having preserved their civilized nature.

Jemma Yunmerg once thought herself to be just like everyone else. She had her obligations, her struggles, and just like the rest of the world, she was tired of it.

However, deep within her, a power, fueled by a rage only matched by that of the blazing sun, remained dormant. Once awoken, jemma would no longer be human; but an entity charged with the task of rebuilding civilization.

Others like Jemma walk the Afterlands, but not all of them walk the same path. Some of them see the last of humanity as a dying animal that needs putting down; a malignant tumor that must be removed before it grows
