My view on people who strike!

This is my article about people who go on strike. I have seen people of different occupations who have go on strike due to their pay and work conditions. These professionals include miners, teachers, and junior doctors.
When the late Margaret Thatcher was in power as prime minister and the miners went on strike, she strictly said to their unions if you do decide to strike then you won’t get paid and even may not have a job to come back to when you return.
Then the school teachers decided to strike due to their pay. To be honest teachers get approximately a fifteen week holiday throughout the school year. This includes the three weeks of half term during each of the three school terms, three weeks for the Christmas holiday, three weeks for the Easter holiday, and six weeks for the summer holidays. I do know that teachers do work during the half term to help students with their coursework. As for example, I went in for a day during the half term holiday to complete my health and social care coursework. Also my sister who is a music teacher went in during the half term holiday to help her students with their music coursework as well as planning her lesson for after the half term holiday.
Also recently they was strike by the junior doctors over pay and working hours and the British Medical Association (BMA) with the health secretary Jeremy Hunt regarding this matter and they did a several number of strikes.
By people striking they don’t seem to consider the service users they’re affecting such as the students in the schools, and patients in the hospitals. By doing these strikes the student’s education is affected due to their teachers striking and the patients’ vital operations and appointments are cancelled. My dad has always said if you want to work, but then if they decide to strike they should be given a verbal warning just like Margaret Thatcher did with the miners. I totally agree with both of them. As by people striking a lot of people are affected. So really they should not be so selfish and think about how this may affect the people who are on the receiving end of their strikes.
