A divorce is the end of marriage, the dissolution of it. But as strange a it is, there are a few countries which don't allow divorce: the Philippines, the Vatican City, and the British Crown Dependency of Sark. So, I strongly advise you not to get married in these countries, cause you never know how a marriage will end.

Catherine was happily married with Rex before it fell apart for an infidelity caught in video in a motel. She was a marriage-for-money predator, which mean they were happily married for money from her point of view. She filed for divorce, demanding a large property settlement. Unable to afford a divorce settlement, Rex hired George to represent him. And the divorce turned into "Intolerable Cruelty" filled with bitterness and revenge. At the end Catherine got nothing. She looked at George in the eyes (picture), and he looked back smiling, as if to say his side won. It happened in "Chicago", and the marriage lasted "1001 Nights". She believed in "High Fidelity", and it ended in "Entrapment". The "America's Sweethearts" they were the day of the wedding was just an illusion, an American illusion.

Catherine found a new opportunity by getting married with oil millionaire Howard. A few months later she divorced Howard and presumably collected a sizable share of the Doyle Oil fortune. However, she admitted that she was disenchanted with her wealthy but lonely life. She met George in Las Vegas at a convention for divorce attorneys and they got married. But it turned out that Howard was just an actor from one of Donaly's soap operas. She had tricked him. Now George wanted to kill her to save his wealth and the firm's reputation. Then he learned that Catherine's ex-husband Rex had died without changing his will, leaving her his entire fortune. They later met with their lawyers to negotiate a divorce. And they ended up... kissing. That's what we call America's Funniest Divorce Videos.

With everything she went trough Catherine has a thing or two to teach us about marriage and relationships.

"For marriage to be a success, every woman and every man should have her and his own bathroom. The end."

By getting married with millionaires she was sure to have her own bathroom. She could even have more than one.

"I love my lawyer. I have to say that of course!"

They are the guys who get big money in divorces. She had a very good lawyer, and together they made a good business team. Poor millionaire husbands!

"Yes, I was in love with my husband at first sight and still am. We have the most solid relationship."

You can see it in the picture. The first time they saw each other George was an enemy, representing Catherine's husband at the time, Rex. Do you know lovers are also secret enemies? You actually marry your best enemy, your intimate enemy. When love and hate are bond together. The end.

"Words impress me. If a man can speak eloquently and beautifully to me, I just melt on the floor."

In Las Vegas George told the convention that love is the most important thing, and that he is giving up divorce for pro bono work. And in the middle of the convention Catherine melt on the floor. If you want to know how it feels, imagine chocolate melting in your mouth.

"All that 'poor hometown girl who marries into Hollywood royalty'. It's actually quite insulting to my parents."

But this is just what she did! She denies it, she says millionaires are not Hollywood royalty and that she was not that poor. But the truth is Hollywood royalty are millionaires you watch on the big screen, and she was relatively poor, but still poor. Her parents didn't feel insulted by her marriages to millionaires cause they denied by claiming: millionaires are not Hollywood royalty, and that they were not that poor... Like parents, like children!

"I love 'The War Of The Roses,' especially as my husband is in it! I've often said to him it would be great to remake that with me and him in it, because then we could really get down to some serious business."

She is mistaken, it was not her husband George. It was her husband Michael (Douglas). Her husband in real life.

"If my husband's going to kiss anybody, let it be Matt Damon."

Matt?! The Super Judge?! If that ever happen she will end saying:

"I love my judge. I have to say that of course!"

With a good lawyer you win a case. But what about having the judge himself on your side?

"So, goodnight Catherine. How does it feel being married with a man that was in "Fatal Attraction" and "Basic Instinct", beside "The War Of The Roses"?"
