Librarians’ dreams are marvellous things

forming visions of light and words.

My love for my library is my justified hope,

my heart melts for it till the dusk of day.

The night-life dreams where we’re away

running silence off.

Till dawn breaks free.

No reality, by my decree; will

ever be the end of my library and me.

Yet its beauty cannot be unravelled,

with its wondering mind, it can see;

reading is all we truly will ever need.

My library is my life – it owns my soul,

my fortune bred, my books of gold.

While waiting for the moment to say:

“I do”.
