A foreboding poem of despair, but with a ray of Hope. A little something for self reflection with a message that makes you question your choices. This particular piece popped into my head last night as I started to watch John Wick: Chapter 2.

What am I? I am breath.

What do I feel? I feel Life.

What do I see? I see Death.

Where do I go? I go Beyond.

Far into the veil, I step.

Holding on the edge of despair,

Seeking solace for my soul.

There is no salvation.

Within my heart lies darkness

Towards the light, I do tread

Grasping tomorrow’s door, I turn the knob

And open forth the Abyss.

Pandora, once, opened the box

I stand before the opened Gate.

In a moment, all will end.

The shadow cometh.

There is, but one Hope.

What am I? I am breath.

What do I feel? I feel Life.

What do I see? I see Death.

Where do I go? I go Beyond.
