When it is a hot and dry, dusty, day

And us country kids are out of school

We don't sit around on the couch

And we sure don't have a pool.

So off we go for the country version

Of water sports, that's what we seek.

Down the road and across the fields

To a place called Whizurd Creek.

It is heaven on earth for the likes of us

And it's a pleasurable sight when we arrive.

It might be true, that we suck at sports,

But everyone knows how to cannon-ball dive.

The swim-able creek just holds about thirty

So when some walk out, others dive in.

It doesn't matter if they're not acquainted

'cause it won't be long, 'fore they're like Kin'.

The days fly by at Whizurd Creek

And the socialization is country style.

Yes,

Many generations have soiled the water

But it washes away in a very short while.
