I think I'd be able to send up 200 poems. What? No chance! I could try. There's a deep mystery in taking the ''pill.''

They gave me the pill

And I kept it in my mouth for quite a long time.

It was dangerous, it could kill,

And that would be a terrible crime.

The taste was strange,

But I managed not to swallow down.

I had to rearrange,

Without showing a frown.

I didn't like the purplish color

It didn't appeal to me.

The cost was only a dollar,

And that was a mystery.

If it slides down my throat

I'd be really trapped

My belly would bloat,

And I'd be utterly sapped.

I'd be gibbering like a fool,

Not knowing what is right or wrong.

Like someone who didn't go to school,

Stayed home too long.

At last I spit it out,

Without causing too much pain.

And I didn't hear any one shout,

So I'll never take it again.
