Hit me

 Don't just play your hand

play the opponent

the dealer is just a middle man

waiting for someone to own it

all your treasure piled before you

 the other players hoarding glory

awaiting for you to amass their unwritten story

gambling with life, nothing but the same old boring

what are the odds when there are only fifty two choices

unless the joker pops up

and someone forgets to remove the instructions

it's the dealers job to cut the deck and stack the odds

in favor of the house

and speaking of the dealer

is it you or me ?

stack the chips

hit me again

i'll take another card

until you fold

all in

and walk away with the ante

for better or worse

for richer or poorer

in sickness and in health

till death do us part

reshuffle and

deal with

it

or walk away from table

knowing it's only

and ever was

just a

gamble

 Shall we play again ?
