I woke up saturated in diverse emotions. The older I get, the more I realize it is never a promising idea to meditate in the past. But at times, like today, it is nearly impracticable not to. The idea of what could have been and where I should be today is off-putting. When I get deep into my thoughts, to the point of no return, I find myself in a state of melancholy. I am not saying that I am not content with my life today, but my mind just can’t help but muse. Could one simple difference in my actions have altered my entire life’s course? How is one not supposed to be left pondering in the past mistakes of one’s life? The only answer to these overwhelming questions is to keep moving forward and do ones best to not look back.
