David Littleton was a country boy who hated school with a passion.

The sound of cicadas greeted the approaching night fall - like a worshipping ceremony. As I, "David Littleton," finished riding his bicycle and went inside the house. The television was on in the living room - but there was no one watching it. Mama was in the bedroom and daddy was out with some coon huntin' buddy. This is a messed up Sunday I thought to myself, walking through to find out what my big sister was up - to. With her bedroom door open - reality finally hit me, when I saw her standing there ironing out her tightest pair of jeans; summer vacation was really over and school was back in the next day - stupid books, number 2 pencils and crazy stuff like that. She raised her head giving me this goofy grin, all I could think of "Oh No, School Again!" I turned away and went to my room, wishing I was every bit of 21 not 14 - feeling sick to my stomach.
