I was here before you, and I was by myself all the time before you came along

So tell me…why should I forgo solitude to be alone with you instead?

What could you possibly do for me that I can’t do more satisfyingly for myself?

If you’re offering conversation, I find my own thoughts to be stimulating enough without your input

I have no need for senseless chatter about things I just don’t care about

Don’t misinterpret my disinterest for scorn; it’s not you at all

I seem to have fallen into myself, and I’ve already stopped looking for a way out

I am contently closed off from the world and its turmoil

I am deeply buried inside my own madness

So don’t worry me now with your exhausted sentiments

I expect you’ll fall into yourself in due time, and then you’ll forget that we never happened
