Trying to get some thoughts out, kind of scrambled. This is a condensed version of what I wish I could say. I didn't know what to title it, nothing seemed to fit.

Your brilliant smile hids your pain.
Your sweet eyes disguise your troubled mind.
No one is allowed to see how you're drained.
The world has scooped out your soul and thrown the rind.
You were a blazing light, now grown dim.
You've given so much of your time
Now you're out on emotion's highest rim.
You've slipped on the mountain you loved to climb.
I would light a million candles to drive away your dark.
I wish you the deepest peace you deserve.
To heal every emotional mark.
To fill you with light, and plenty to keep in reserve.
In a different life we could be friends.
In this life, we'll never meet.
And this letter, I will never send.
It's more likely it will meet the flame's heat.
You'll never know of the friend you have in me.
