Here and now,
the stars looking down,
pause the world turning.
keep the moment.
a precious thing as we gaze in wonder,
the enormity of it all
sucking the very breath from our lungs.
Here and now,
we feel so utterly small.
A tiny insignificance against the throes of Time.
Present day is a present too late.
Take in the seconds, the splits of them.
Bend them apart, reshape them.
Mold it into your own.
Create something, anything.
It is yours to have and to hold
until death do you fade.
Remember until you can't.
Life is but a sliver on the large oak tree.
Just a sliver.
Make your mark, spread like an infection.
A virus sickening everyone with hope.
A fever that won't break.
And in that moment,
there is no pain,
no hurt,
just you and the stars in the here and now.
Watch as they fall.
Unpause the world,
let it turn,
burn inside your eyes so you can dream of it every night.
Wake to the sun rising,
the earth's smiling.
be ready to say hello.
