I want to drift.
An ocean of stars calling, awash on the shore.
A twinkle in the waters, reflecting the moon and the solar storms and the cities that never sleep.
The sky is clear and looking down.
Its gaze sweeps over, a watchful eye.
I want to drift.
Longing for the silent space to catch me, arms wide.
Lost in its splendor, wandering, wandering....
I want these thoughts to slip from my head.
I want my heart to leave my chest.
I want my lungs to breathe outside.
I want my legs to run free.
I want my arms to wave goodbye.
This body is no longer mine.
It is yours,
adrift in the starry ocean.
I came and I surrendered.
