Prepare your ears, for my creaking floorboards often get intoxicated in song,
Grin at the sight of your model reflection and make way for the kiss of my swaying chandeliers,
Command your ten skilled excavators in their pursuit through the bags of ruffled winter goods,
Ready for my dear friend December, as he warmly invites the sock-flooding to begin.

Lounge and slumber by my roaring flames as they siesta aboard their wooden boats,
Surrender to my needlepoint beauties, stagnantly floating on thrones of woodwork and leather,
Bewilder your memory and abandon your keys with travels to my drawers and cupboards galore,
Glamour up my tables, saturate my walls, encapsulate the TK MAXX wonder and let no one leave at all.

Drench my pores in sunlight and soak my air with fresh scents of lavender and rose,
Tickle my nerves with feather dusters, cleanse my transparent body with smooth fibres and bubbles,
Serenade my oak tiles with tender bristles, discover the refugees of dust in my nooks and cranies,
Soak my air in glorious sunlight, let its’ streaming rays vacuum up specks of night lurking in my corners.

Ornate my soul with bouquets of nature’s adored petals of beauty,
Enlighten my heart with an antique river of frames where memories float on an endless current,
Saturate my cave with cashmere parcels and Victoria’s secrets, lock my hands if you fear unwanted peaks,
Delight in your fatigue and your desire for dreams and surrender to my duvet, fit for a king.

Caress me with the loving steps of barefeet, warm me with the breath of tranquility,
Colour me with the pen of ingenuity and bless me with the many songs of beauty,
My arms will never falter and my embrace will never fade,
For as long as your beating heart remains, I’m your home and in your soul I’ll stay.
