Dinosaur Dinner

Come on now, it’s time to eat

So let’s just have no fuss.

It’s time that you accepted that

You’re just the same as us.”

Okay, I’ll come for dinner,

But the food it must be fresh,

And don’t forget these teeth of mine

Won’t go near any flesh.”

You are forgetting you’re a carnivore,

And that is what we eat.

You’ll never become big and strong

If you turn away from meat.”

I like the taste of vegetables,

And that fruity flavoured flood.

I hate the feeling of that flesh

And detest the smell of blood.”

Well, I guess that I can’t force you,

But you are a big disgrace;

A fierce and gruesome dinosaur

With grass upon his face.”

That’s fine, I’ll go eat with my friends,

The ones that love to graze.”

Go on then, we’ll see you when

You’ve grown out of this phase.”

Inspired by the one word prompt -- flesh.
