I managed to get myself above our solar system
And I looked back at the vast expanse of space.
Standing there on the brim,
And looking down on the human race.
They're the lowest of the low,
Still killing one another.
They have given earth a terrible blow,
Our great earthly mother.
She has borne children in a terrible state,
Still spinning on that lone axis.
She turns around the flame, she's never late,
They see each other but never kiss.
Oh! now I see a fiery ball,
Earth is now a sun.
No inhabitants at all,
They have escaped, every one.
