Why bother

You are not my mother

My mother nursed me

To be as fine as I can be

She wouldn’t deliver

Me to become chopped liver

Not for some stranger

Who turns me deranged

Why keep trying

To make us seem like dying

We’re not dead yet

In that, there is some zest

Why block the body

That was made for you to study

And employ and enjoy

You’re the girl that gets the boy

Or man, but I’m not your child

I’m one of many thrown wild

Yes, options exist but for us

These options are out of trust
