If you are a shifter then there are rules. Strict rules. they don't want people who can shift wandering around causing trouble.
So we are restricted.
Shifters are unique humans.

  1. You may not use your ability to harm humans or animals.
  2. You may not use your ability to break the law.
  3. You may not tell anyone about being a shifter even if they are one themselves.
  4. You may not try to get rid of your ability.
  5. You may never remove your monitor.
  6. Under no circumstances are you to visit the Bricks of Life.

Being a Shifter is far from fun.

Many people have written books or made movies about being able to jump into movies and objects. Well let me tell you; it is not fun, or magical or anything like that.

You must follow the rules and wear a dreaded tracker. It is not really a tracker, that’s just the fancy word. It is basically a camera that watches me 24/7 to make sure that I don’t break the rules. I have never broken the rules. Nor do I know anyone who has, because for some stupid reason e aren’t even allowed to tell each other about being shifters. I am not sure why, I figured maybe it is because they don’t want us forming armies and taking over the world.

All of the rules appear to make sense except the one about the ‘Bricks of Life’ I have no idea what the bricks of life are. But, they sound cool.

Now that I have explained what the rules of being a shifter are, you may want to know what a shifter is.

A Shifter is a person who (to my knowledge.) was born with an ability to jump into objects, movies, movies, books, and morph into other people. I didn’t start being able to do that until I was 15. That’s when I received the letter with the rules. I threw it out, and later that day on my way to school I found it taped to my bike, and my locker, and my bedroom window. Everywhere.

At first I found it a little creepy but now I am used to it. By 'it' I mean finding notes with instructions. for an example; I wanted to shift into a move; so I found a note saying the precautions and 'rules' of shifting into movies and books.

All that said, let me tell you my name and a little bit about me.

My name is Jace, I am 17. I have been a shifter for 2 years. I live in Holmes Chapel, Cheshire.

That’s about it. I am not a very interesting person.

Watching a movie with my family was always fun. But doing it alone is much, much better. Maybe it is because I have been tempted with the idea of shifting in to it and hanging out with the characters.

But I wonder, if I am in the movie then will everyone else who is watching it see me?

I don’t know. That’s part of the reason why I have never shifted in. also, I don’t know how easy it would be to exit.

This’ll be fun. Yes, I intend to shift in to a movie tonight. I have picked the movie; The Avenegers 2012.

Hopefully I will go in there and talk to the characters. According to the note of 'rules' it said that I can't interfere with the plot, I can't tell them that they are in a movie/not real,

I'll get back to you tomorrow when I go into the movei.

This is the intro to the short story series called "Shifter Series"

The second story is coming out on 8/1/17
