Un-Filtered…

The ability to censor our words is called filtering. The students I work with have no filter; they are very direct and that is unnerving for many people. I find it refreshing. If you look tired or have a bad hair day; they will tell you. If they are happy, hungry or frustrated they will let you know. They will scream and hit when their words are not honored. Part of me respects that; although it can be a conversation killer. Perhaps we should all be a bit less filtered. Clear with our intentions and consistent with our words and actions. We live in a blurry world and could use some clarity.
