A common question I get is: "Why are you so quiet?"

This deadly war inside my head.
Fighting, crying,
bleeding and screaming.
Let me go,
let me out!
I beg and beg,
to be released from this Hell.
I get to the top,
and pulled under, once again.
Every time deeper than the last.

I'm screaming,
at the top of my lungs.
Why can't you hear me!?
I'm slowly fading,

nobody noticing.
I fear my life will be taken,

unless it already has been,
by my lovely inner demons.
Leaving only my flesh and bones,

fake smiles and lies,
but wait, hear this.
"I'm okay, I'm happy."

This is so well written. Relateable too! People don't want to see anything other than 'okay' and 'happy' I guess, so we wear the fake smiles.

Thank you everyone! To be honest I was quite nervous putting my poetry out there. I am glad I did, I have gotten only good comments.
