That Wall.

Where did it come from,

that wall of bricks,

it’s crept on up

it’s playing tricks.

It’s looming up high,

the shadows are vast,

but here’s the thing --

it just won’t last.

We’ll weigh it up,

get it’s measure,

and here’s the moment

for us to treasure.

The sledge-hammer swings,

it’s moving fast;

already some bricks,

they’re in the past.

A few more swings,

and that will do,

we’ll take down the rest,

me with you.

That wall’s no more --

reduced to rubble,

and serve it right

for causing trouble!
