I see the face, no one wants to see

I see the face, hidden in the shadows

It is all alone, praying prayers that will never be heard

It is the face filled with tears and sorrow

It whispers silent words

Longing to be heard

It screams how the pain breaks its heart

No one can see, how absurd

I look deep, I see the face

I look within the water

For the face is mine, and mine alone

My reflection somehow bitter

Is this really me?

Is this who I am, and try to hide?

Perhaps it is me, perhaps I feel alone

Longing for someone by my side

I am alone.

The face no one wants to see

The face pushed away, into the depths of darkness

I ask myself, how can I be free?
