Staring into a dark corner light is found there, catching the eye.

For a moment a form is seen, the shape of someone willed within the mind.

The instant of death has stared back, through the stillness of the dead,

with the face of emptyness and ending and silence.

When dreaming in sleep, oblivion is only a specter.

Upon awakening, the ghost of a human spirit is fantasy,

willed by children found playing upon a playground of fear.

Slide down until the darkness swallows forever,

for there is nothing but here.
