For the hope of a better tomorrow

the amber lit, haunting moon

softly lamenting to

the snowy trees, the white canvas.

Inky darkness filters through

the bitter, cold, uncaring night

that mocks the weary shadowed form

lost inside the never ending journey

across the ragged hilltops.

Settling in

amidst the frigid snow and icy wind

to live another day.

 To live another day

amidst the frigid snow and icy wind

settling in

across the ragged hilltops.

Lost inside the never ending journey

that mocks the weary shadowed form

the bitter, cold, uncaring knight.

Inky darnkess filters through

the snowy trees, the white canvas

softly lamenting to

the amber lit, haunting moon

for the hope of a better tomorrow.
