Kaistor

You won’t know when Kaistor approaches you. Not until it is too late for you to make any kind of escape. With no real form, Kaistor remains invisible until that tiny moment when he sneaks inside your head. For that one split second you will see something that can only be described as demonic.

It’s skin is a green-tinged grey as it stretches tautly across it’s bones and joints. Inhumanly thin yet so very strong. Long fingers end with long, long nails; perhaps talons would be a better description. The face is pure evil. The jaw juts forward, pointed sharply and the mouth is full of yellow needle-like teeth. Cheek bones sharp enough to cut, with peculiar horn-like growths protruding out from them. Eyes, ringed black, white with red pupils and a head topped with three thick horns. Kaistor looks just like Kaistor is – evil incarnate.

Neither male nor female, Kaistor can change at will. Possession of a female often brings about a male persona, whereas possession of a male brings out the opposite. Rarely there will be exceptions, but not often.

Once Kaistor has gained access to your mind, his games will begin. The surface memories are the ones that are instantly accessible. The memories of earlier that day, of yesterday and the day before will become clouded, muddled. Did you really do that? You wouldn’t have done.....would you? And how could she have said that to you? You’ll get angry, ashamed and above all confused. This is just a warm-up for Kaistor.

By the end of the day you will find that your head is slowly being excavated. Not carefully separated but dredged, bull-dozed. Thoughts from yesterday will be tangled with emotions from childhood. Experiences you went through as a toddler now feel like they happened just a short time ago.

Your emotions are twisted, turned upside down. Your self-control has fled to leave you shivering, shaking, spitting out any word that comes into your head at anyone near enough to hear. You are two years old with a thirty-year-old’s vocabulary, and you are going to use it to maximum effect. Too bad, once Kaistor has finished with you, it will be you that’s left to bear the consequences.

And still the digging goes on. Deep into your brain to your worst fears, to the space where the horrors reign. And then the monsters will be let loose, stampeding their way through your entire mind, trampling any pleasant thoughts that might be left there. And those claws, those talons, will make you bleed. You will be screaming and howling in agony, down on your knees with your head in your hands.

When you are broken, in pieces, no longer able to think at all; when your life is in ruins, your sanity spent, there’s no more fun to be had. Kaistor has finished with you, Kaistor wants a new toy. You are left, deserted; nothing more than an empty useless shell.

Can your head be mended from the mess that has been made of it? Will you ever find a way to put your memories back in order? Who knows? But Kaistor? Kaistor is moving on!
