When you opened your mouth, I couldn’t hear a thing…not one word was clear; but I knew you loved me, even as you raved and ranted about whatever stupid thing I did wrong today

I’m sure I didn’t mean it, or at least that’s what I’ll tell you once your lips stop moving

You’d probably choke me if you knew I wasn’t listening to your eloquent tirade

I wonder how someone can be so irritable and so attractive; you would think such deep frowns would hinder aesthetics, rather than enhance them

Perhaps it is the lighting—you seem to be glowing now; my hands are itching for a camera, if only not to let such brilliance go to waste

You probably wouldn’t appreciate my sentiments, as you’ve reached the grand finale of your lecture which has flown quite easily through both my ears

The hardest part of all this is managing to hide the smile being stretched across my face, when at last you close your mouth, and I can say—I love you more
