The World in a Smile

He looks about, in a world that may seem blurry and curled

With his mouth open, and its unwiped drool

As if looking for something familiar in his little big world

His admiring eyes rest on me, as if I'm a jewel

And I wonder what he sees in me

Perhaps things I myself don't see

His small eyes curve as he gives a toothless smile

Which means the world's miles,

The world's skies,

And its seas' tides, To me
