Out of despair for you I fell,

You were there and I could tell.

My secret’s safe within your lips,

And I gave in your fingertips.

I got accustomed to your ways,

You were the rhythm to my days.

In a perfect world for you and me,

I would’ve loved you eternally.

Except one day and on my own,

I did recall you’re not alone.

But it didn’t matter anymore,

My secret love, my paramour.

I know it’s wrong for “they” are there,

I don’t regret this love affair.

Our rendezvous did make me glad,

With fun and pleasure I never had.

Our time, I know, has been severed,

Illicit things don’t last forever.

For all it’s worth, I do adore,

Your skin, your touch; my paramour.
