THE LOST BABY

You may think, getting to use the Restroom, without any distractions will be right. But its not, not for a mom. For moms,it is a privilege, a luxury that not many us can afford. Every time we go to the Restroom and that's very few actually we always have someone crying, the restless mind of ours keeps thinking of every worst thing that can happen in the five minutes we are away. So you would understand my worry when I haven't heard anything in the last few minutes I've been here. I keep asking myself, why isn't she crying, it has been over 5 minutes I've been away from her sight and yet she is still calm, not looking for me. Has she entered the stage where is Ok by herself for a few minutes; no wait that cannot be possible, she is up to something, that is only time she doesn't search for me. What if she has crawled under the bed and sat up and hasn't figured out how to come out. Oh my God, why did I have to leave her out of the crib? I have to get out. I finish my business, make sure I wash my hands with soap and start calling out for her. "Baby, where are you? Mummy is here." No sound. I start looking under the bed, she isn't there, maybe she went over to the living room, where i have a load of clothes that I've been folding. What if somehow she got under the heap of clothes and is suffocating. My panic rises, I start throwing clothes away from the heap. Nope she's not here. " Baby, baby come out. Where are you?" I start crying, oh God, oh God where is she? I ran over to kitchen, trying to remember if I have kept anything hot on the counter, she can pull herself up and stand now. What if she touched something hot, or feel down and hit her head. No she isn't here. The front door is locked, there's no way she went out, then where is she? Where is my baby? " Baby, baby come here, come to mummy", My panic has risen to the the peak, I sit down on my knees, crying into my hands, helpless and anxious. My stomach 's feeling funny, like someone's tickling from inside. The feeling increases, developing to mild punches, what is happening to me, my heart beat is racing, I feel a powerful kick from inside my stomach.

I open my eyes, I sit up panting, rubbing my very huge tummy. Oh, oh no baby. My baby's kicking continuously as if answering. I smile, "yes it was just a dream my love. You are safe".
