The  Old  Man

He  took  out a  knife.  The  old  man  had  expected  it.

"Just  give  me  the  money  old  man..I  won't  hurt  you.." his  hand  trembled.

"Why  do  this..?..you're  still young..you  should  find  work  and  not  rob.." the  old  man  spoke  coolly.

"I  need  the  money....I tried to  find  work  but  I  failed..many  turned  me  down..I'm  really  hungry...I  didn't  eat  for  two  days..."  he  glanced  around  him  nervously.

" For  food  you  rob..?"   he  looked  so  pathetic to be  a  robber he  noticed.

"I'm  sorry..I  didn't  mean  to  do   that.." he  stuttered .

"If  you  get   caught .. how  will  your  mother  feel  having  a robber  as  a  son?"

"My  mother  don't  care  what  will happen  to  me..she  just  don't  care...she  even  cursed  me.." he  sobbed.

"I  know ..... take  the  money  and  go  eat....."he  gave  him  the  money.

"Thank  you..I'm  sorry  to  have  frightened  you...I  really  am..but  how  did  you  know?.." he wiped  his  tears as  he  reached  for  the  money.

"I  just  know...." he  gave  a  kind  smile.

"Old  man.....you  are  very  kind...."he  smiled  back.

"Go..."  he  nodded.  He threw  the  knife  on  the ground   and  quickly  moved  away  from  him.

As  he  walked  ,  he turned  his  head   just  to  wave  at  the  old  man  but he  was  not  there. He stopped  to  look  again. He  felt  strange as  the  old  man  was  nowhere  to  be  seen.

"Thank  you  old  man..whoever  you  are...and..thank  you  God.."his  tears  flowed  as  he  looked  up  the  sky.
