Beware of the Smile

I don’t want to know you anymore. I stopped trusting you years ago. You have stolen my smile. Images of you hover over me like vultures circling. Time does not heal. It just waters down the intensity of the emotion.

I am sure you have moved on by now. Found someone oblivious to the deception masked with a kind expression. I’m sure you have a new title to hide behind. More opportunities to charm unsuspecting clientele. I wish I could warn them all- Caution! Beware!
