I wrote this poem about my old neighbor. I couldn't stand that women, after I found out what kind of person she was. I absolutely adored her mother.

Caught in the crossfire of

lashing tongues

and pent up rage; my stomach

sickens

The blood drains from my face

Have we been living this lie too long?

A helpless victim of frail age

Caught admist a crossfire of

words that cannot be erased
