Life in a shell, sometimes.

Time Had Played Hard Again

I did once have an orange fish

who leaped with speeding joy

but time had played hard again

he fell with quiet noise

I did once have a dream of mine

reaching to the stars

but time had played hard again

my head began a war

I did once have a mom and dad

both say hello hun

but time had played hard again

now their's only one

I did once have a brother or two

playing with no hate

but time had played hard again

he took his love away

I did once have a glow inside

shining like my heart

but time had played hard again

 I see the broken parts

I did once have a memory

looking was a sight

but life had played hard again

all there is are fights

I know that mind can conquer all

so I sit and battle still

so I may see a different way

the day may bring new will
