My Cousin Scamp.

My cousin Scamp has come to stay,

he really lives quite far away;

what we’ll do, I’m not sure --

perhaps we’ll take the guided tour.

Come on, owner, get your hat --

hang on while I chase that cat--

yeah, that’s better, let’s ride that car,

show Scamp where the good things are.

There’s the pet store, full of treats,

they really stock the best of eats.

And over there, look, there’s the park,

no one will care how much we bark.

That there shop, with meat it’s crammed

but wander near and you’ll be scrammed;

the super-store for all our meals,

what he gets shows how he feels.

If he’s really pleased with me

with his wallet he’s quite free;

but if I have done something wrong

the cheap isle he will go along.

And look right there, that river’s great,

take a dip and mess, create;

and there’s the beach, out there the sea;

you’ll never go as deep as me.

Home again and hunger gnaws,

can’t wait to get ourselves indoors;

now with the food, please don’t be tight --

we’ve built up quite an appetite!
