Mother used to say that you weren’t right for me,

But I wanted it my way so I never chose to see.

Mother always knew that you were a shameless man,

But her point of view I never understand.

And so I chose a path I mistakenly believed,

How naïve I was I still cannot perceive.

The day you said goodbye I saw you were a prick,

I did not realize that you were so sick.

And now that you’re away I remember all you said,

I cannot see your eyes because sadly you are dead.

I have reasons to hate you and why I shouldn’t grieve,

To me you were unfaithful when you used to breathe.

Your body fell so helpless when you were pushed down,

Your eyes looked so hollow as you were lying on the ground.

There was blood on your hands when I told you’d be fine,

And then you said to me; “Sorry I was unkind”.

It is easier to hate you because you were cruel to me,

Why did you say sorry, why did you have to be?

No matter how I try you cannot be despised,

You did wrong to me but I wish you were alive.

I saw your girlfriend cry and how quickly she moved on,

It’s only been a week and she has another one.

The son that you denied has tears on his lashes,

For he’s the only one who carries home your ashes.

Your friends just only say; “He was something else”,

And your brother says: “May he rot in hell”.

I guess you weren’t liked because of all you did,

I saw you play with hearts when I was a kid.

And now I stand under the sky thinking what to do,

I only want to say that my heart has forgiven you.
