Is it wisdom

To take out one’s tooth?

A tooth the may

Have told one the truth?

While the dentist

Feeds you the lie

Take it out or else

You’re gonna …die?

There’s the scene

The dentist and the patient

Dentist walks fatter

Patient less gracious

All for a hand

Of canine cash cards

One loses a tooth

The other leaves a scar

But who’s gonna see it?

It’s the wisdom tooth

Only the pain parted

Tells one the truth

When all is done

They say you need a new one

One wonders who lost

And who won?

The patient is patient

Till the last hanging of ivory

The dentist is impatient

Lessening of life is a victory
