I liked you then: I like you now, yeah maybe,

Within my soul this feeling hasn’t died;

Yet don’t let this feeling worry you baby;

I don’t want to hurt you with sham mad pride.

I liked you then speechlessly, spiritlessly,

By bashfulness, and bad vibes I languished;

I liked you then so candidly, cautiously,

Why should God grant fresh friends when I’m anguished.
