I’ve been sick for a day

A day is too much

Somehow I’ve bee here

But somehow away

Twenty four hours

Of sheer surroundings

Time stops, sound amplified

Pain and pleasure of everything

Time to stay quiet

Time to take the meds

Something is out of my body

Need a surrogate instead

Need to think of time

Time of paradise lost

Thought it wasn’t before

In sickness, it feels like it the most

Before, I chased time

Now time chases me

I feel it wants me out

To cure me infinitely

A cure is what I crave

Of so many ailments

Which now I have a symptom

A symptom of a soul to save

And I apologize to you

If being sick is bad

I’m sure you share

You might have had one or two
