Into Blue

A brilliant sea, an errant wave,

pulls me out from in my cave;

it plays around and pulls me under,

from the sky a roll of thunder.

There beneath the ocean deep,

my sanity I try and keep;

for here we are now, me and you,

but it’s not us, I know that’s true.

It kind of feels right, imagining,

just one moment, skin to skin;

then in a rush the tide does turn,

the water round me now does churn.

Back on land now, in my bed,

was it really in my head.

Maybe so, but I can’t see

why water’s dripping off of me.
