The Woman, Invisible

This is the story of a girl
Who loves a man
Would give up the world
For only a band
She waves while excited
To the man who's near
His eyes, not delighted
Her words, not to hear
Slowly she trails behind
Awaiting a reply or glance
Forever focused, his eyes
Gripping the roses in hand
She shutters at the sign
Though she follows the man
These names, lost to time
Will she believe, if she can
He kneels to the grave
Places the roses in a vase
Whom he loved, not saved
Like the roses, old and decay
She stares at the name
Their tears now in play
Her name is the same...
