"No, no, spirit! These Ghost Forests are not real! They're just manifestations of reality."

"No, don't say that, tour guide! Get back on your boat, and go back to the mainland! You don't undertand this hell called Poveglia! I didn't ask for this! None of us did! Leave now, or I'll resummon the Black Plague!"

The dark-skinned man emerged from the Plague Pit, dragging himself on his stump of a leg. He made crutches out of a tree branch.

"How are you alive?"

"Because this place is full of emotion. During certain times of the year, vibrations occur within the earth, awakening us. I am the E.R. doctor from Poveglia," the man sobbed, turning toward the abandoned asylum. He picked up a discarded bottle of booze. "I did alot of terrible things. I performed unmerciful experiments on my patients. I couldn't live with the guilt. I threw myself from the belltower, but I have to hear their tortured screams every day! I want to make penance for my sins! These poor unfortunate souls were ripped away from their families, taken to this god-forsaken place, and either thrown into pits, or put into the mad house. Summon the Black Plague!"

The scrawny doctor's eyes bulged out, as he coughed, and wheezed for several minutes. After he emptied the contents of his stomach, he burst out laughing. "Open the asylum doors!"

"You're mad!" the tour guide faltered.

Huge black dogs, covered in chains, with red eyes, and frothing mouthes, emerged from the pit, followed by the Plague victims...
