It's been a quite a while since I've witnessed a miracle, which has little to do with my perception of what being blessed really means in reality. I had been blind to the Angels around me that I encounter everyday in this lifetime. I mean just trying to express everything that I am taking in right now is a little overwhelming as I cannot think many enough for the support and love that has helped me to see anothr day of living. Even the smallest gestures such as sending me a joke. I now recognize the true light and power I hold in myself. This power is only strong when the will of others to love along with me give me strength to carry those burdens on my shoulders along with me until I see the light at the end of the road. That light being the true view of how beautiful life is without the drugs and alcohol. I realized without people like you and I there would be no future to look forward to as the period of testimonies for lessons to be passed over to others would perish if our lives had ended too soon had we not crossed paths, and loved along the way. I not only hold apologies in my heart to be delivered, but I hold some of the best words of encouragement that will not only help you, but others as well as me move on to grow together. When faced with myself staring off into a view, I asked myself why? Why have I become so much like the ones without much of a heart to lend to everyone instead of just a few. Then it hit me when I realized I recognized that I actually matter in life. Not hearing it was changing me into a man with no direction, but forward without a map.

Words from a wise man once woke me out my sleep as he was telling me a story of a young man with a story much like mine, only his had an ending I'd never imagine. To put myself in those shoes for the moment and actually see that who he had been talking about was me all along made me realize my eyes were not open enough to see where I was and where I was going. The words after his story brought me on the edge of the couch as he looked directly at the camera on the TV as if he was staring me in my eyes delivering that personal message which aired about 20 years ago. He said, "nobody is forgotten as life can try to devour every man, woman, and child alike. However, it takes the will of our loving neighbors to bring us up whenever we may fall on our faces. It's okay to cry, but just know that you are loved and you're a very special person who hasn't realized how blessed you are to have been born in a world where people have the power to spread love in order to help you see that you do hold an important place in this world and the next". Ever since that very night I've haven't forgotten to recognize one of the real men I look up to today who is Jimmy Swaggart. My fears had been in my face all along as I had been trying to run from them instead of getting through them. I no longer fear anything in the darkness as I know I hold a light in me that shines through my smile, words, and demeanor.
