She holds the gun, yet I still love her. Even as I fall, my heart is yet to be broken.

I love her.

She knows I do.

Yet here I stand

The cold metal

Held firmly

Against my head.

I begin to wonder

Does she love me?

She does.

I know she does.

We've clung to each other

Scared

For what's to come.

We've had our disagreements

But here we love each other.

The bond between us

An unbreakable rope

But it can be broken

By the cloud behind the eyes.

She doesn't know

What she's doing

Her hand doesn't shake.

She feels nothing

As she holds the gun.

I stand frozen

Knowing what's to come.

I don't question

I only follow.

I close my eyes.

The shot rings out.

And now I go.
