Alienation

Alienation from within

Don’t belong in the skin I’m in.

Another planet, another world,

Out of place I have been hurled.

Without a doubt, I do not fit

So let this be the end of it.

I’ll spend my time, don’t know why,

Looking up towards the sky,

Waiting for some kind of sign

That tells me now that it is time.

The mother-ship is on her way

To take me back where I’m okay,

Where I’m not a misfit, an alien,

Where I can be myself again.

There’s no place in the human race

But maybe there’s one out in space.

Displaced in society

The Earth will be the death of me.
