I was a senior in high school I was never the kind of student who made honor roll but somehow my last semester I did make it. I had my name in the newspaper but more important I got to go on one of our schools final field trips that only a certain amount of students can participate in since they only had two buses. We got to go camping for a weekend. Me and my friend jess were together in a tent. Friday night went good we roasted hot dogs and made s'mores. We also said ghost stories around the camp fire with the rest of the ten honor roll students. Then the next day we went on a hike. And came back and me and jess went fishing. We both grew up near a pond so fishing was in our blood. But we never expected what had happened. We caught a fish. I was actually excited. Me and jess had caught a total of 13 fish. When we heard a loud growl. We turned around to see a grizzly bear was swimming across the river after us! We were frozen we both could not move as the bear got closer jess finally got the courage to scream and I dropped the fish and ran off after her. The bear didn't chase us and instead it ate our fish and then left.  We stayed in the tent and refused to go out the last day of camping on Sunday until the buses picked us up. Me and jess vowed to never go camping again after that grizzly bear encounter.
